Stories for Kids is a commercial website selling kids story books aiming to make a profit from books sales through affiliate links. Stories for Kids also recognise that many people out there do not have access to books or who cannot afford to buy kids books from book stores or through the web. Stories for Kids aim is to provide all with the opportunity to have access to books and that include the less privileged among us.
I was privileged enough to travel some of these remote places and have realised that most governments doesn’t matter how poor they are trying their best to give the people access to the information highways. You will find computers linked through satellite system running from generators or solar panels in some of the remotest places. The best part of it all it that people, especially kids with very basic education behind them has mastered the computers and is connecting with rest of the world.
Stories for Kids is aiming to use the internet highway to provide people in these remote areas and people amongst us within the 1st world environment who cannot afford published books with stories to read from a FREE online library. Unfortunately copy right does not allow us publish books which are commercially available which means that we need to find stories from other sources.
This is where Stories for Kids look at our visitors/clients. There many of you out there which have unexplored story writing talent. Stories for Kids encourage you to put your stories on “paper” and to forward the stories to the Stories for Kids admin at admin@storiesforkids.biz. If the stories are found to be of a suitable (it does not need to be great) standard we will publish your story for FREE on the Stories for Kids blog. You never know you might be the next best kids stories writer.
To get your short story publish on the Stories for Kids website it will have to meet a couple of criteria.
You will have to provide us with your;
1) full names (please state if you wish to have it published with your story)
2) e-mail address (it will not be published – Story for Kids might need it for future communication)
3) e-mail your short story to admin@storiesforkids.biz
The story will have to be;
1) suitable for kids from toddler to teens
2) must be in English and be in electronic format (preferentially in Microsoft Word)
3) must be between 600 and 1500 words
4) must have the minimum grammar and spelling errors (Story for Kids will fix minor errors)
5) must be original
6) must not contain excessive violence (story for kids will access if suitable)
7) must not contain obscene language
must not contain references to nudity
9) must not be racially or religiously offending (story for kids will access if suitable)
Stories for Kids will publish contributions for FREE which means that no payments will be made to contributors. In return Stories for Kids undertake not to sell the FREE contributors without written consent from the originator.
